04 June 2026: GSC Participates in European Gambling Forum

Representatives from the Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) attended the Gambling Regulators European Forum (GREF) in Sofia, Bulgaria, this week.

GREF is a key annual conference for its network of gambling regulators from across Europe, offering an opportunity for regulators to exchange views on emerging trends, challenges and typologies to strengthen international cooperation efforts. 

Discussions covered a range of current regulatory priorities, including how to address illegal gambling and strengthen cross-border enforcement, key developments in anti-money laundering (AML), and broader regulatory challenges linked to an increasingly complex digital landscape. 

Outreach through dedicated gambling sector forums such as GREF enhances supervision by fostering collaboration and dialogue amongst regulators within the global gambling industry. Open dialogue between regulators supports a shared understanding of risks, enhances early identification of emerging threats, and promotes a collaborative approach to prevention. These partnerships help ensure that the GSC's regulatory framework is responsive, transparent, and trusted.
