Becoming an Approved Test Facility: Isle of Man GSC

To ensure fairness and integrity in online gambling, all games offered to players—whether directly or via third parties—must be certified by a test house approved by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC).

Key steps in the approval process:

  • Application: Companies seeking approval must submit a completed application form, available from the GSC website, providing full company details, relevant accreditations, and evidence of independence.
  • Assessment: The GSC evaluates the suitability and independence of the applicant, with particular consideration given to accreditation under BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories).
  • Review: The Commission may request additional information to support the application. The process typically takes around two weeks once all documentation is received and accepted.
  • Approval: If successful, the facility is granted Approved Testing Facility status, enabling it to certify gambling systems for compliance with the Isle of Man’s technical standards.

If you have any queries on making an application, please contact us by email on GSCApplications@gov.im
