Licence Interchange Policy

The GSC permits companies to transition from a Research and Development Licence to a High THC Cultivation Licence within a 12‑month licensing period. This flexibility acknowledges that business needs may evolve, allowing operators to adapt and progress throughout the year.

Requirements for Licence Change

To approve a licence change, the GSC applies the same standards as a new application. This includes:

·         Submission of a full business plan for the required licence

·         Completion of the standard application process, as outlined in the guidance documents 

·         Review and approval by the Commission
